Precious Puppy and A Giveaway at Sweet P's

As a new blogger I am spending way too much time thinking about what to post.  As if it has to be something profound.  As I read other blogs, mostly about quilting, I see that all I need to do is just be myself.  A life lesson I struggle with a lot as I am one who worries too much about what other people think, which blocks any creativity I have waiting to come out.

Anyway, I see a lot of pictures of people's pets so here is one of my poochie, his name is Shemar.  (He came with that name) He is a mixed breed rescue we adopted about 18 months ago.  He was 10 months old at the time and still has a lot of anxiety issues but is coming along.  He has a rather "unhealthy" addiction to me.  He has to be with me ALL the time, even peeking around the shower curtain to make sure I'm still there!  Fortunately, he LOVES my daughters and they love him.

Daddy's Home!

On another note, one of the blogs I enjoy following is Sweet P Quilting and Creations.  Paulette is having her first giveaway!  I am not a designer and it didn't even occur to me to do a giveaway but what fun!  I will have to work on that.  Paulette has a hot-off-the-press copy of Canada's newest quilting magazine, Quilter's Connection:

This is the first issue and it has an adorable Partridge in a Pear Tree wall hanging project on the cover.  She is generously giving away a copy of the magazine and some fabric to start the project!  Quick, pop on over to her blog to enter, she is doing her drawing September 30!

Well, off to get some stuff done so I can play with my fall table runner that is still in my head.

Until next time...
