My Pets on Quilts Show Entry

Have you visited Sew Cal Girl's blog to see the Pets on Quilts Show yet?  There are some really cute pictures and some great projects to look at.  There are prizes for viewers who leave comments on the entries, as well as voters for the Viewers Choice prize given so head on over and get your vote in!

You'll recognize my entry from my header:

Last fall I made a quilt for my neighbor's baby girl, using the Speedy Baby Two pattern by Quilt Taffy.  You can see more pictures on my post about it here.  The doggie was a gift for the big brother, who was 18 months old at the time.  I think he turned out pretty cute, and it was a big hit.  It was my first "3-dimentional" project.  I used Simplicity Pattern 2763 (bought on sale at Jo-Anns).

Well, I've got some viewing and voting to do....

Until Next Time,

  1. Hi Lisa. Thanks for entering my Pets on Quilt Show. Very cute quilt and cute puppy too. What a great gift idea. I'm definitely going to check out that Simplicity pattern.

And, as an FYI (which I'll try to clarify on my blog ASAP), the voting for Viewers Choice will start with a separate post on my blog this coming weekend. I don't want to open up Voting for Viewer's Choice too early on in the quilt show, as more quilts will be entered. Good luck!

  3. Wonderful entry, Lisa! Great fabrics for that quilt that goes way beyond being just for a baby and 'big brother' received an adorable new friend.

  7. Nice baby quilt and a lovely little dog. It was nice of you to think of the bigger brother when making the baby quilt for the new sister in the family.
